2028 Senate Map: The 34 Seats Up for Election

Reviewed:

In 2028, the 34 "Class 3" Senate seats are on the ballot, alongside the presidential race. Before the 2026 results, Republicans held 19 of them and Democrats 15.

Two of these seats were filled by appointment after senators left for the Trump administration in January 2025: Florida (Marco Rubio's seat) and Ohio (JD Vance's seat). Special elections in November 2026 decided who serves until 2028, so both winners face voters again in two years.

The table below lists every seat. It updates on its own as the 2026 Florida and Ohio special elections are called.
